The COVID-19 pandemic has brought major impacts to people from all walks of life worldwide. However, it’s not only humans who are suffering from the changes brought by this pandemic. Dogs, who are used to playing outside and going for walks, suffer silently too, just like this Golden Retriever named Kevin.
The social distancing measures brought by the pandemic had prevented Kevin from seeing his friends for months. He had to stay home with his owners, and if he ever got the chance to go out, he could not go anywhere he likes. His owners couldn’t help but notice how lonely Kevin was, so they thought of a way to lighten up his mood.
Kevin was in for a beautiful surprise, and his owners could hardly wait to see his reaction. What they had in mind was to reunite Kevin with his best buddy, who was also a Golden Retriever, and let him spend a doggie playdate with him. When Kevin saw his best friend, he could not hide his excitement—their heartwarming reunion was even caught on camera.
The video started with Kevin looking sad because he missed his best friend so much. Even though they see each other on Facetime every day, it was still not the same. So Kevin’s parents decided to take him to his best friend’s house.
Kevin was so behaved during the car ride. When they arrived at his best friend’s house, his best friend quickly ran outside to greet him. Their tails could not stop wagging in excitement.
The adorable duo did not waste any minute—as soon as Kevin got off the car, the two started playing. They even shared the same water bowl even if they had separate bowls. They just looked so cute together, especially when they wore those adorable hats.
After a few hours, Kevin needed to return home, so they had to say goodbye. It was a short playdate, but the two will surely treasure it for years. Kevin and his best buddy hope everything will get back to normal soon, so they can meet up as often as they like.
